Burlington Skyhawks

Steve Nash Development League

Building from our huge success last season The Burlington Skyhawks have partnered with Basketball Ontario to introduce The Skyhawks Steve Nash Development League. This program is focused on 8 and 9 year-old Boys and Girls (2001 and 2002 birth years) that are new to the game.

The Steve Nash Youth Basketball is a national youth basketball program designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love for the game of basketball. The model was established after extensive research of existing community basketball programs from across North America and follows the guidelines of Sport Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD).

The Nash D-League is the where you want to start your kids playing basketball!

No experience is necessary. The only prerequisites are kid’s looking to have FUN and learn!

The goal of this exciting program is to allow kids the opportunity to maximize their potential, while promoting the importance of youth basketball as a vehicle to build life skills such as character, discipline, self esteem and sportsmanship.
