Burlington Skyhawks

Steve Nash Development League

In partnership with Basketball Ontario The Skyhawks will continue to deliver Burlington’s best boys and girls grassroots program for new players with the Steve Nash Development League.  Drawing from our successes we will be expanding the program this year to include a U8 program (2004 and 2005 birth years) in addition to U10 (2002 and 2003 birth years).

The Steve Nash Youth Basketball is a national youth basketball program designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love for the game of basketball. The model was established after extensive research of existing community basketball programs from across North America and follows the guidelines of Sport Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD).

The Nash D-League is the where you want to start your kids playing basketball!

No experience is necessary. The only prerequisites are kid’s looking to have FUN and learn!

The goal of this exciting program is to allow kids the opportunity to maximize their potential, while promoting the importance of youth basketball as a vehicle to build life skills such as character, discipline, self esteem and sportsmanship. All of which benefit our youth as they continue to play basketball or in life.
